Cool Tools: Jott and Friendfeed

I have a new love, well two new ones. Have you heard about Jott and Friendfeed? These are two really cool time-saving (and just fun to play around with) Web 2.0 tools.

Jott is a nifty Web site that lets you use your mobile phone to email notes to yourself or others, update your Twitter status, add items to a to do list and more. As one of the last people on the planet who does not have a Blackberry or a way to get email on my phone, I've found it very handy to send myself a reminder about a task or meeting (or anything that enters my mind which is already too full to add anything else!) by phone. I also felt pretty cool the other night calling in the fact that I was watching the Kids in the Hall live show in Charleston from my phone.

Friendfeed ... this I saw on Steve Rubel's Twitter account (I follow him, he's got some interesting things to "tweet" about). With Friendfeed, you can submit feeds of the various Web 2.0 activities you're engaging in, such as Twitter, adding bookmarks to Del.icio.us, your Netflix queue, your Amazon shopping list, Flickr, blogs, Podcasts and more, and it updates them for the world to see all in one place. Once you've got everything entered in, you can add code to your blog or Web site and it's constantly updated everytime you do something on one of these sites (look to your right to see mine). Now, your friends and colleagues can REALLY know everything you're doing.

I'm having lots of fun playing around with both and hope you do too. Check them out!
